Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber Promote 2012 Fashion's Night Out (Video)
Designers Marc Jacobs, Victoria Beckham, Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors also appear in the video promo for the global shopping AIDS fundraiser.
Fashion's Night Out 2012, the fourth annual shopping extravangza, will be bigger and better -- due in large part to a flashy, celebrity-filled promotional video.
Taylor Swift, Oliva Wilde, Julie Bowen, Usher and Justin Bieber are just some of the stars featured in the fast-paced video to promote the annual event being held on Thursday, Sept. 6.
Perhaps the best advert for the global shopping frenzy is when Bieber urges his fans to come, telling his Beliebers, "You bring your friends, I'll bring my friends, we can all hang out."
But then he destroys millions of teenage girls hopes and dreams when he promises he will "definitely be there" because the event is a chance to meet models.
"Who doesn't want to meet models, right?" he asks. Who doesn't? No one, Justin, except a kabillion teenage girls who have crushes on you. Men.....
There's a Glee element in the video with Darren Criss, who plays Blaine in the hit Fox show, performing a cover of Madonna's "Dress You Up." As Darren sings the 1984 tune, Beckham, Bieber, Swift, Usher and others explain what Fashion's Night Out is all about.
The annual event will take place in New York, London, Amsterdam, Japan and Paris. Stores in these cities will stay open late with promotions and limited edition products, as well as guest appearances and performances throughout the night.
Retailers are still currently signing up to be part of the event, but UK confirmees are Harvey Nicks, H&M and Zara. In New York, Banana Republic, Diesel and L'Occitane will be among the shops open late.
Macy's and Bloomingdale's will be the focal point for much of the night in New York as they have shows, performances planned providing a first look at autumn/winter collections from top designers.
This year a special T-shirt (see it in the video) will be on sale to mark the event, sales of which will benefit the New York City AIDS fund.
Will you be there?
