Topshop Topman Celebrates L.A. Opening With Hollywood Party
Kate Bosworth, Emma Roberts and Demi Lovato were among the attendees who feted the brand, which opens a Los Angeles flagship store Thursday at 4 p.m. at The Grove.
Fashionable stars including Kate Bosworth, Emma Roberts, Demi Lovato, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Osbourne toasted the opening of Topshop Topman’s eagerly anticipated Los Angeles flagship store with a party at Cecconi’s restaurant in West Hollywood on Wednesday.
Topshop Topman owner and retail mogul Sir Philip Green, accompanied by close friends and family including wife Tina Green and daughter Chloe Green, warmly welcomed guests to the party in front of a lobby adorned with pink neon signs and Union Jack flags.
Miranda Cosgrove, Lydia Hearst, Jane Seymour and even surprise arrival Chris Brown posed beside the fleet of London taxis flanking the restaurant’s entrance.
Inside, guests including Ryan Seacrest, Randy Jackson, Russell Brand and Michelle Trachtenberg sampled mini shepherd's pies, fish and chips and ice-cream cones as Solange Knowles performed, excitedly remarking that she’d never seen a crowd move so much at an industry event. There was one incident when a server accidentally spilled red sauce down the back of Lopez's dress just after she arrived. She flashed him an icy glare as her handlers rushed to wipe it off with napkins.
Julianne Hough and model Poppy Delevingne, among others, enjoyed a photo booth shaped like a traditional red telephone box.
Bosworth, who curated a collection to be sold exclusively at the two-story Los Angeles flagship location, described herself as “a big fan of the brand for a long time” and called their sartorial collaboration “a natural relationship.” Her style must-haves for the upcoming summer season in Los Angeles? “Really nice sheer layers.”
The brand's West Coast flagship store also features an exclusive 30-piece luxury sportswear collection.
Topshop Topman’s 30,000-square-foot Los Angeles flagship location opens Thursday at 4 p.m. at The Grove. The store joins other U.S. outposts in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas.
