Topshop and Topman to Open in L.A. in Time for Valentine's Day
The British cheap 'n' chic retail giant makes its first L.A. appearance on the Hollywood shopping frontier.
OK, L.A. shoppers -- on your mark, get ready, get set -- for Feb. 14. A whole lot of love is going to come down that day, and we're not talkin' Valentine's Day. Topshop and Topman are opening at The Grove; this is Fash Track's idea of true love! Affordable chic does not happen every day in this town.
It's been a long time coming, but in two weeks, the wait will be over. There will be two floors in the corner of The Grove, with 30,000 square feet of shopping heaven. There will be 300 new pieces delivered every week, so it's the kind of place you should just sleep in and wait for the goods to come to you.
Sir Philip Green, originator of Topshop and Topman -- who created deals with Kate Moss and made the Topshop brand world-famous for inexpensive cool -- says, "Los Angeles is a particularly exciting opening for Topshop and Topman. I am confident that we will deliver unique and authoritative British fashion to the many customers who are already fans of the brands."
Of course, L.A.'s Topshop will launch with a collection exclusive to the city, and it will be handpicked by actress Kate Bosworth. And we wouldn't be surprised if she attended the opening VIP party on Feb. 13. Along with a lot of other very cool people.
