'Twilight's' Ashley Greene Featured in DKNY Fall 2012 Campaign
The twenty-five year old actress models DKNY’s fall collection at various locations throughout the city in the brand’s Fall 2012 campaign.
DKNY has just rolled out its new Fall 2012 campaign on its website and a few photos have just been released featuring its star model Ashley Greene. The ads show the actress, best known for her role as the vampire Alice Cullen in Twilight, dashing about some of the city from Fifth Avenue to TriBeCa. Photographer Peter Lindbergh, who has also done campaigns for Giorgio Armani and Prada, shot the campaign.

"Fall 2012 is a collection made for a true city girl who has places to go and people to see,” says a DKNY representative. “Sweet and strong, pretty and tough, smart and street, this season's campaign voyeuristically and strikingly documents a slice of Ashley Greene's life in the city.” The line has a much more sophisticated tone, heavily emphasizing all-black, but adds some color with animal prints and florals. Leather abounds, showing up everywhere from belts to skirts to jacket sleeves.
Greene signed a one-year contract in 2011 to be the spokesmodel for DKNY and DKNY Jeans, and was already featured in the brand’s Spring 2012 ads. Previous DKNY spokesmodels include Hilary Duff and Alexa Chung. Greene has been a longtime fan of Donna Karan and was first introduced to the designer at a fashion show. Greene has worn DKNY to several red carpets, including a custom black leather and lace knee length dress to the People’s Choice Awards in January.

Greene is not unfamiliar with modeling. In the past, she has done ads for Vision NYC, Mark Cosmetics and SoBe Lifewater. The actress has several films that are set to be released later this year, including the final installment of Twilight, which is set to come out in November, and A Warrior’s Heart alongside fellow Twilight alum Kellan Lutz.
Greene moved to Los Angeles from Florida just after high school to pursue a career in acting. She bought an apartment in New York in 2010.
