Britain honored its fashion-world luminaries Monday night at the British Fashion Awards.
Victoria Beckham took home the Brand of the Year honor, which was presented to her by designer Marc Jacobs.
In her acceptance speech, the former Spice Girl thanked her soccer-playing husband David Beckham and their four kids, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper for her success.
"Without David I wouldn’t have had the courage to do what I am doing," she told the Daily Mail backstage.
Stella McCartney won the Red Carpet award for dressing the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and Kate Hudson, who presented McCartney with her prize and shared a story about how she made every worst-dressed list out there in 2001 after the designer dressed her for the Oscars, reports Style.com.
"I immediately called Stella and we laughed our asses off," said Hudson. "And her words to me were, 'Let's be honest, babe, it was the hair.' "
The Duchess of York, Kate Middleton's wedding dress designer, Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton, was awarded the night's biggest prize, Designer of the Year.
