Elise Testone blew the judges away with her rendition of Adele’s “One and Only.” America agreed, voting her into Season 11’s Top 13. “You are definitely a voice to be reckoned with in this competition,” Randy Jackson said of Elise’s emotional performance.

“There is something magical about having the confidence that you just had,” judge Steven Tyler said of Erika’s performance. She did not get America’s vote, but was awarded Randy’s ‘wildcard’ pick. She tweeted, “I'm so grateful to get this second chance from the judges and another opportunity to sing for America! Top 13! I will fight ‘til the bitter end.”

“I think she’s going to be one of our front runners,” Jennifer Lopez said of Hollie’s performance. America voted her straight through to the Top 13 and she promised Steven Tyler she will let her hair down next time, like he asked her to do if she made it through.

Jeremy made the Top 13 via Jennifer Lopez’s ‘wildcard’ pick. He immediately fell to the floor upon hearing the good news, and then ran to give each of the judges a big hug. “You open your mouth and immediately I’m drawn in,” Lopez said after Jeremy's performance on the first live show of the season.

This Louisiana boy sang Idol alumni Jennifer Hudson’s “You Pulled Me Through.” His emotional powerhouse performance convinced America he deserved a spot in the Top 13. “You are the voice the world’s been waiting to hear,” Steven Tyler said after the young singer’s performance.
Age: 21 Hometown: Leesburg, GA
“You’re so unique and so different for this show. I’m a big fan,” Randy Jackson said of Phillip’s rendition of “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins. He was the first contestant to make it into America’s Top 13. New to Twitter, Phillip has now acquired over 29,000 followers. “OOHHHHH MYY GAAAAAAHHHH!!!!! Thank you everyone for supporting me, I appreciate it so very much. Y’all are awesome!!” the Southern boy tweeted after the show.

“You sing with such passion for a 16 year-old. It is so beautiful to watch,” judge Jennifer Lopez said of Shannon’s passionate version of “Go Light Your World” on the girl's first live performances night. The young volleyball player was voted straight into the Top 13.
Age: 18 Hometown: Brandon, MS
This country girl rocked it out on stage performing her favorite song, “Stay With Me.” Turns out it was one of Randy Jackson’s favorite songs too, “I love your energy. I love your performance.” Jennifer was blown away, “It’s like Tina Turner went country!” America voted Skylar straight into the Top 13.

Colton auditioned with his sister Schyler back in Charleston. They made it through together, until Schyler got eliminated during the Las Vegas round. Colton was voted straight into the Top 13 on the live results show, and Schyler shed a tear of joy for her older brother. Steven Tyler told Colton, “You are truly a relevant artist today.”

The singer/comedian showed his soft side performing “Angels” during the guys live performance show, which earned him a spot in the Top 13 according to America’s votes. He shared a hug with buddy and roommate Phillip Phillips and tweeted, “All for God. All by God. Thank you guys so much for everything. I won’t let you down.” Randy Jackson told the world, “I’m happy that we found Heejun.”
Age: 25 Hometown: Pine Hill, NJ
Referred to as the ‘gentle giant,’ Jermaine got a second chance from the judges after being eliminated in Las Vegas. During the guys first live performance show, he was revealed as their first ‘wildcard’ pick of the season and his second chance performance of “Dance with My Father” proved to America he deserved to be in the Top 13, and earned a spot from their votes.

“The whole thing is really beyond your years – it’s crazy,” Jennifer Lopez said of the young singer. She was voted straight into the Top 13. And Steven Tyler called her pitch perfect. She was the only girl to get a standing ‘O’ from the judges for her performance of “Love You I Do” from Dreamgirls.
America's Top 13 Finalists
The Top 13 finalists range from 16 - 28 years-old. They are from all over the country and cover almost every genre of music. It is a diverse group drenched with individuality. Out of hundreds of thousands, these 13 contestants stand as America's Top 13, and as judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have predicted, it is brewing to be an amazing season.
