The stars of Universal's fourth film in the raunchy teen comedy series attended the premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on March 19. The film, starring Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Tara Reid and Chris Klein, opens in theaters on April 6.
Three of the original stars of the American Pie movies, Chris Klein, Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott, pose at the American Reunion party. The fourth film in the franchise sees the characters reuniting for their 10-year high school reunion.
Mena Suvari poses on the carpet at the premiere. "I'm really just so blessed to be part of this series," she tells THR. "We really are like a family, in a sense, and we love these characters."
Jason Biggs, Eddie Kaye Thomas, John Cho
The red carpet was heavy with bromance at the premiere for American Reunion. John Cho (right) got to reunite with the writer/directors of some of the Harold and Kumar films, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who wrote and directed American Reunion.
Seann William Scott
Seann William Scott returns for American Reunion as Steve Stifler. While he may be older, Stifler remains the group’s instigator, and doesn't think he's too old to hit on 18-year-olds at a beach party. "I love the Twilight books," Stifler says to a group of bikini-clad girls in an attempt to get their attention. "New Moon is my favorite!"
Tara Reid poses with Irish pop duo John and Edward Grimes on the red carpet. Reid met the twins while on Celebrity Big Brother.
Chris Klein, Katrina Bowden
Actors Chris Klein and Katrina Bowden pose on the red carpet at the premiere. Klein returns to play Oz, who is now a sportsbroadcaster. Bowden plays Oz's girlfriend.
Shannon Elizabeth, who returns to her character Nadia for American Reunion, poses on the carpet. "I had to pull out that accent again," she tells THR. "It's great that people love the franchise so much and they love this character."
Jennifer Coolidge returns as Stifler's mom in American Reunion. Instead of having her eyes set on Finch, Stifler's mom may have romantic interests with Jim's dad in the fourth film in the series.
Eddie Kaye Thomas
Eddie Kaye Thomas has a slight wardrobe malfunction on the carpet when Jason Biggs caused him to rip the seat of his pants, but he laughed it off. Of his character, Finch, Thomas tells THR: “He’s grown, he’s gone places, but at the end of the day, he’s the same guy he always was."
Jason Biggs, who stars as Jim in the teen comedies, is also an executive producer on American Reunion.
Eugene Levy, who play's Jim's dad, poses on the carpet. Levy walked the carpet with his real-life children, who are also in the entertainment industry.
Alyson Hannigan, Alexis Denisof
Alyson Hannigan poses with husband Alexis Denisof on the red carpet. "She is still her quirky self, but she's probably a really good foundation for Jim's craziness," she tells THR about her character Michelle. "They're like the perfect couple really."
Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris arrives on the red carpet. The actor attended the premiere in support of his How I Met Your Mother co-star, Alyson Hannigan.
Thomas Ian Nicholas
Thomas Ian Nicholas returns as Kevin Myers for American Reunion. Kevin is married and works from home as an architect.
Mena Suvari wears an all black, one-shouldered, Christian Siriano ruffled dress on the carpet. "Heather's the mature, conservative one of the bunch," she says. "But it was really refreshing to have a moment when she breaks out of her shell and sticks up for herself for the first time."
Eddie Kaye Thomas
Eddie Kaye Thomas was just 16 years old when he got the role of Finch in the bawdy comedy. “The thing I’ve learned shooting this movie is as much as things change, things stay exactly the same,” Thomas tells THR.
Natasha Lyonne, who says she was basically wearing Gucci from head to toe, plays Jessica in the American Pie franchise.
Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg
Writer/directors Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg pose on the red carpet. The duo also wrote and directed Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, and wrote Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. They tell THR they have always been fans of the American Pie movies and jumped at the opportunity to work on American Reunion.
