While his counterparts Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright scored acting nominations for Netflix's House of Cards, standout Corey Stoll failed to be recognized for his heartbreaking portrayal of the tragic Peter Russo.

Monica Potter, "Parenthood"
A big push was made for Parenthood supporting player Monica Potter for Kristina's emotional cancer arc, but in the end, the actress was left on the outside looking in.
After scoring nominations last year in the comedy categories, Fox's New Girl failed to represent in any of the key categories, including Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and comedy series.
"Parks and Recreation"
Sure, Amy Poehler returned to the lead comedy actress category with another nomination, but the NBC comedy was snubbed once again for comedy series.
Tatiana Maslany, "Orphan Black"
The Orphan Black star has received a lot of notice from critics and Hollywood in the past several months, but the star of the BBC America sci-fi drama was unable to capitalize on her Critics' Choice TV Award.
While newcomer House of Cards took many of the drama slots, that meant freshman FX series The Americans was left out in the cold. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys could not squeak by in the main acting categories, though Margo Martindale was recognized in guest actress drama.
Julianna Margulies, "The Good Wife"
It looks like broadcast dramas are waning when Emmy is concerned. After failing to snag a drama series nom last year (The Good Wife failed to return to the category again), star Julianna Margulies lost her spot in the lead actress drama category.
There was no love for the final season of NBC's The Office, with the departed comedy failing to receive any noms in the major categories.
