Jeffrey Wright -- known for his role as Boardwalk Empire villain Valentin Narcisse -- plays the intelligent, creative Beetee in the Hunger Games sequel. Betee is the male tribute from District 3 who gains attention for his innovative use of wire (often in combination with electricity) as a weapon, techniques which won him his original hunger games. District 7 tribute Johanna Mason dubbed Beetee “Volts” for his particular skill set.
Bruno Gunn -- whose credits include Bad Teacher and Herbie Fully Loaded -- tackles the role of Brutus in Catching Fire. Brutus is the male tribute from District 2. As a career tribute, he trained and volunteered to enter in his original hunger games. Accordingly, he thrives on the games and is excited at the prospect of returning to the arena, offering tough competition for protagonists Katniss and Peeta.
Stanley Tucci returns to the Hunger Games series to play Caesar Flickerman, announcer and commentator of the games alongside Claudius Templesmith (played by Toby Jones). Flickerman also interviews tributes the night before the games begin. Tucci can be seen in The Devil Wears Prada, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Terminal, among other films.
One half of the brother-sister tribute duo from District 1, Cashmere and her brother Gloss are part of the career pack, whose other members include Brutus and the female tribute from District 2, Enobaria. Cashmere is played by Stephanie Leigh Schlund, who has been seen in The Last Song and We Are Marshall.
Lenny Kravitz returns as fan favorite Cinna, a stylist from The Capitol who helps District 12 female tribute Katniss impress viewers and sponsors with her “girl on fire” look, among others. Cinna worked with Katniss for the 74th games, her victory tour following her win and the 75th games, in which winners are forced to compete again. Kravitz, the rocker-turned-actor, most recently appeared in Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
Outlandish and extremely colorful in style and attitude, Effie Trinket returns. The Capitol-born chaperone of District 12 is responsible for drawing tributes’ names and escorting them to the Capitol. Elizabeth Banks -- know for her roles in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and 30 Rock -- breathes life into the excitable Effie.
Enobaria is the female tribute from District 2. She also is a member of the 75th games’ career pack. At age 17, she was the victor of the 62nd Hunger Games and became known for ripping out another tribute's throat with her teeth during those games. After that, she had her teeth sharpened and added gold fang tips to them. Former figure skater Meta Golding -- who can be seen in The Tomorrow People -- will play the vicious tribute.
Taylor Kitsch, Garrett Hedlund and Armie Hammer were rumored to have been in the running to play the handsome, strong and at times arrogant Finnick Odair, but Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) ultimately won the part. Finnick is the male tribute from District 4. His district is known for fishing and this trade allowed him to excel and win his original games using a trident. Finnick is known for his many female lovers in the Capitol, but he also harbors a darker secret in his past.
Liam Hemsworth returns as one part of Katniss’ love triangle for the second installment of the Hunger Games series. Gale is Katniss’ best friend and hunting partner, but as the Games continue, Katniss’ relationship with Peeta pulls the pair apart. The actor was most recently seen in Paranoia.

Jena Malone -- who also appeared in The Messenger alongside Harrelson -- tackles the female District 7 tribute with a bite, Johanna Mason. The main export from District 7 is lumber, so Johanna knows her way around an axe (something viewers will get a taste of in the upcoming flick). Though sarcastic and unwelcoming, Johanna soon proves to be an ally to Katniss.
Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence plays everyone's favorite tribute, Katniss Everdeen. After she and Peeta win the 74th Hunger Games, they are quickly pulled back into the arena for the Quarter Quell, an especially gruesome edition of the games to remind citizens of Panem of the Capitol’s power. The Quarter Quell only occurs every 25 years, and the 75th games forces victors to compete against each other. Many believe the 75th games to be rigged to punish Katniss and Peeta for defying the Capitol (there was to be only one winner).

He fears their act of defiance will spark rebellion in the districts against the Capitol.
Wiress, the female tribute from District 3, is intelligent and an inventor like Beetee, though she has trouble articulating her thoughts. Johanna nicknames her “Nuts” for her mental instability. Wiress is played by Amanda Plummer, who is best known for her role as Honey Bunny in Pulp Fiction.
He's tackled Enron, Eliot Spitzer and Lance Armstrong. "But he has the courage to do it." Read More
