Hurt feelings aside, the Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise divorce couldn't have gone much smoother. The couple sidestepped a media circus by settling less than two weeks after news of their split broke -- a distinction not shared too many famously defunct couples. Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, Paul McCartney and Heather Mills and Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton make up just a handful of the nastiest breakups in Hollywood memory.
