Grammy Awards: 17 of the Raciest Dresses

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez arrived at the 2000 Grammys in this sheer Versace gown. With its see-through fabric and plunging neckline (can we even call it a neckline?), Lopez stunned viewers and fans. At the Academy Awards a few weeks later, South Park co-creator Trey Parker wore an imitation of the dress. 

Toni Braxton

At the 2001 Grammys, Toni Braxton showed up in what was left of this revealing Richard Tyler gown. "I've always gone a little risque with all my other awards [show outfits]," she told People. "I decided that before I got married and had babies, I'd wear this." Braxton picked up her award for best female R&B vocal performance that night. 

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Sew up the slit and make the cup size bigger, and this dress might have even been considered classy. But when Jennifer Love Hewitt wore this  to the 2004 Grammys, there wasn't much left to the imagination. 

Eve

Rapper Eve wore this Roberto Cavalli dress to the 2005 Grammy Awards, where she was nominated for best rap/sung collaboration for her song "Rich Girl" with Gwen Stefani. At the time, Eve told MTV, "I feel like this is the new me."

Beyonce

The songstress shows off her bootylicious behind at the 2008 Grammys. The Elie Saab gown was very low cut in the back, but people were more taken aback by the new shorter, blonde hairdo that Beyonce debuted that night. 

Ciara

The R&B songstress arrived at the 2011 Grammy Awards in this cut-out Emilio Pucci gown. While the slit went rather high, the cut-outs in Ciara's dress were actually some of the classier we've seen on this list. 

Rihanna

In 2007, Rihanna showed off almost her whole back, and a little of her front, in this green Roberto Cavalli dress. This was the pop star's first Grammys. While it does show a lot of skin, this dress would potentially be able to pass the cut at this year's stricter awards show. 

Kim Kardashian

Reality star Kim Kardashian shows off her curves in this gold Kaufman Franco gown at the 2011 Grammys. Kardashian later told Ryan Seacrest: "I took it to another tailor, and they tailored it to where my whole butt wouldn't fit in it. I was freaking out and said that if I didn't have a dress, I wouldn't go. The designers were amazing and they came in and met me and re-did the whole thing."

Lea Michele

Lea Michele came to the 2011 Grammys showing some skin. The Glee star broke out of her innocent Rachel character in this black Emilio Pucci dress. 

Paris Hilton

The Versace dress that heiress Paris Hilton wore in 2009 looked closer to a shirt than a dress. The bright colors and seemingly missing length put Hilton on many worst-dressed lists for that year's Grammys. 

Heidi Klum

Supermodel Heidi Klum cheered on her Grammy-nominee husband Seal at the 2010 awards in this Emilio Pucci sparkled dress. The low-cut nature of the dress showed off too much of Klum's goodies for some people's taste, but overall was on many best-dressed lists. 

Christina Milian

Christina Milian showed off her stomach in 2006 in a black and white design by Max Azria Atelier.

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera lived up to her "Dirrty" reputation in 2001, donning a lace-up dress by Trish Summerville.

Destiny's Child

Known for their outrageous (and always coordinating) fashion choices, Destiny's Child flaunted their assets in matching blue getups in 2001.

Katy Perry

At the 2009 Grammys, Katy Perry wore a pale pink silk chiffon Jenny Packham Spring 2009 dress. She later took the stage in a short, fruit themed dress.

Margaret Cho

In 2004, comedienne Margaret Cho shook her tail feathers in this sheer black dress that was covered in peacock feathers.

Nadeea

Singer Nadeea, who released an album titled From Russia With... in 2008, wore this skin-baring outfit to the 2010 Grammys.
