'The Rum Diary' Premiere at LACMA

The stars of "Rum Diary," the film adaption of Hunter S. Thompson's acclaimed novel, walked the carpet at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Oct. 13. Johnny Depp, who was a personal friend of Thompson's, stars as journalist Paul Kemp, who travels to Puerto Rico to work, but ends up doing more drinking than actual working.
