On the Set of 'Nebraska' With Alexander Payne, Bruce Dern and Will Forte

The director and stars of the awards contender reveal secrets of the film in a behind-the-scenes look; says cinematographer Phedon Papamichael: "We don't work with storyboards; we leave room for discovery."
Payne’s crew prepares a shot: “Forty-five people on Alexander’s set have worked every day on every movie he’s ever made,” says Dern. “You can’t help but be good with these guys.”

Says SAG and Globe nom June Squibb (with Payne), who played JackNicholson’s wife in About Schmidt and Dern’s in Nebraska: “Alexander said 10 years ago Bruce and I wouldn’t have been ready to play these parts.”
'Best Experience of All Time'
