A little black dress isn’t enough to make flashbulbs pop and to garner attention from the fashion blogerazzi — what actresses wear for day during the Venice film fest is as important as their red carpet gowns. It’s about pull-out-the-stops prints and zippy colors. As 2012’s festival kicks off, here’s a look back at some of the standout day dresses from recent Italian sojourns.
