TIFF Festival Schedule
The TIFF festival schedule features more than 300 films from over 60 countries every September.
Kirsten Dunst attends the On the Road premiere. THR film critic Todd McCarthy writes of the film: "On the Road is the story of youthful searching, yearning and striving for experience and truth by a handful of hipsters in their early 20s who, very much against the grain of a conformist period, eagerly embraced drugs, experimental sex, black culture and jazz, and life outside the yoke of steady work and conventional family constraints."
Actress Kristen Stewart attends the premiere of On the Road. Stewart wears a Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 dress. Across the country, her Twilight co-stars were introducing a new trailer for the final film at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Michael Barker, Marion Cotillard, Tom Bernard
Co-president of Sony Classic Pictures Michael Barker, actress Marion Cotillard and co-president of Sony Classic Pictures Tom Bernard attend the Rust &Bone premiere. THR film critic Todd McCarthy writes of the film: "Charged emotions are felt and expressed but remain contained and not wallowed in. When Stephanie awakens in the hospital after her accident and realizes what’s happened to her, the dreadfulness of her discovery is palpable. But soon enough it’s absorbed, to the point where she calls Ali to take her on an outing (to the Croisette in Cannes), where he takes her back into the water."

TIFF artistic director Cameron Bailey, CMPA winner Daniel Iron, CMPA President Michael Hennessy and producer Andre Rouleau pose at the presentation of the CMPA Feature Film Producer's Award. A guest records the panel for Looper at the festival. Gordon-Levitt had makeup added to his face to look more like Willis, but also spent time studying the actor to seem more like a younger version of him.
“I really did study him. I watched his movie on repeat, I took the audio off of his movie and put them on my iPod so I could listen to him,” he told THR. “But really more helpful than anything was getting to hang out with him.”
Rian Johnson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis
Director Rian Johnson, and actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis sit on the panel for Looper.
