From Zooey Deschanel to Jeff Daniels, THR spotlights the most ardent fans of the American League and National League champs.
-
Colin Hanks
It's no secret Colin Hanks is an avid San Francisco Giants fan. (He even proved his worth with a visit to MLB's Fan Cave in June.) Throughout the postseason, the former star of Fox's The Good Guys has tweeted enthusiastic messages to his nearly 190,000 Twitter followers: "So proud of this team! So proud of the fans and their #TinyGuitarSolo pics. We’re goin back to THE WORLD SERIES! #SFGiants," Hanks wrote Monday after the Giants' dominating NLCS Game 7 win. Expect to see Hanks at Game 1, as he revealed he'll be at AT&T Park.

Jeff Daniels
Jeff Daniels may portray a cable newsman on television on HBO's The Newsroom, but in real life, the actor is a follower of Tigers baseball. In September 2011, one day after the Tigers clinched their division, he performed "Tiger Fan Blues" onstage at Michigan's MI Fest Outdoor Music & Camping Festival and earlier this month performed "God Bless America" during the seventh inning stretch in NLCS Game 3.
-
Zooey Deschanel
New Girl's Zooey Deschanel has made her mark during postseason baseball in the past few years. The singer-actress sang "God Bless America" during the San Francisco Giants (her team of choice)-Philadelphia Phillies NLCS in October 2010 and caught some flack for leaving the game early after performing the national anthem during the World Series last year between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals.
-
Rob Schneider
Who is the No. 1 San Francisco Giants fan? It just might be Rob Schneider. Earlier this month, the actor-comedian relayed a video message to the fans when the Giants were down 2-1 in the NLDS to the Cincinnati Reds, declaring: "You can do it!" In 2010, he served as the master of ceremony for the Giants' World Series parade in San Francisco and following the team's deciding NLCS victory, posted a photo of the celebration on the field.
-
Eminem
Eminem, a Detroit native, has shown his support for his city's sports teams -- and that includes the Detroit Tigers. Throughout the years, the 40-year-old rapper has been seen sporting the Tigers' garb. In the fall of 2010, he and Jay-Z performed at Comerica Park.
-
Robin Williams
Self-professed Giants fan Robin Williams, who calls the Bay Area home (seen here with Billy Crystal), kicked off the postseason in 2010 for the Giants when he warmed up the AT&T Park crowd before the Giants-Braves NLDS Game 1 matchup.
-
Tom Selleck
Tom Selleck's Magnum P.I. character, Thomas Magnum, wore a trademark Detroit Tigers baseball cap during the series' run. Enough said.
-
Danny Glover
San Francisco native Danny Glover followed the Giants during its 2010 postseason run and at one of the games, the team's Gcast caught up with the award-winning actor -- who was heading to Washington D.C. later that evening -- in Atlanta. "There were two periods with the Giants with me, when I was a kid to about 1972, 1973 right after Willie Mays left, and then there was a distinct breakoff until 1993 when The Man (Barry Bonds) came," Glover recalled.
-
Tim Allen
Last Man Standing star Tim Allen is a fan of Detroit sports, and threw out the ceremonial first pitch in April 2010 at the Tigers' home opener at Comerica Park.
-
Michael Moore
Fahrenheit 9/11 filmmaker Michael Moore penned a post about Detroit sports last fall, making note of an almost perfect game by Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga "ripped from him by an umpire back in June [of 2011]."
-
Kid Rock
Kid Rock has no qualms letting his Detroit Tigers fanboy flag fly. Last year, when the team made it into the playoffs, he was confident about their chances of making it far: "I don’t need to brag on the Tigers, they’re already bragging on themselves, doing so good,” he said at the time. (Unfortunately, the Tigers lost to the Texas Rangers in the ALCS last year.)
-
Bob Saget
After starring as the patriarch in the San Francisco-set comedy Full House, Bob Saget has continued to keep ties to the City by the Bay by staying loyal to the Giants team.
