From a humble beginning in TV movies to breaking out in Disney's "High School Musical" series, the former child star continues to mature with a buzzy performance in "Neighbors."
Efron starred opposite Mary-Louise Parker in the 2004 Lifetime Television movie about a single mother raising twin boys with autism.
The drama about a woman raising her niece and nephew ran for two seasons on The WB from 2004-2005.
'High School Musical 2'
Efron celebrated the premiere of High School Musical 2 in 2007.
The 2007 musical was a hit, earning $118.8 million domestically.

Efron voiced Ted in the 2012 hit The Lorax, based on the Dr. Seuss classic.

Efron turned heads by going shirtless at this year's MTV Movie Awards.
