Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Andy Samberg Join 'Hotel Transylvania' Voice Cast
Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Cee Lo Green and Molly Shannon also added to Genndy Tartakovsky-directed 3D family comedy from Sony Pictures Animation.
Adam Sandler leads off a voice cast that includes Kevin James and Andy Samberg for Hotel Transylvania, a 3D family comedy from Sony Pictures Animation.
Genndy Tartakovsky, the animator behind Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars and Dexter's Laboratory, is directing the movie.
Sandler is voicing Dracula in the tale, which makes the Transylvanian count not only an owner of a “five-stake” resort away from the human world but also an overprotective dad trying to shield his teenaged daughter. This goes awry when a human stumbles upon the resort and falls for the girl.
James is voicing Frank/Frankenstein while Fran Drescher is his in-your-face, over-the-top and larger-than-life bride.
David Spade plays Quasimodo, once the hunchback of Notre Dame and now a crazy, passionate gourmet chef.
Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon will play Wayne and Wanda, a pair of married, harried werewolves, parents to an ever-increasing litter of pups, who are looking forward to their family vacation at the hotel.
Cee Lo Green is Murray the Mummy, once entertainer to the great Pharaohs, now the life of the party.
Dracula's daughter has not yet been cast.
Sony has set a Sept. 21, 2012 release.
Michelle Murdocca (Open Season, Stuart Little 1 & 2) is producing the movie with animation by Sony Pictures Imageworks.
