Arnold Schwarzenegger Reveals Name of Fifth 'Terminator' Movie
UPDATED: He’ll be back, on July 1, 2015.
The original Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has revealed the title for Paramount’s upcoming fifth movie in the franchise, courtesy of an Instagram photo from the set.
In the pic, the actor is shown in silhouette sitting in a director’s chair with the words Terminator Genisys written across the back.
Schwarzenegger thanked the cast and crew of the film for a "fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding."
Schwarzenegger also tagged the Instagram account for the movie @TerminatorGenisys. His tweet linking to the photo was retweeted by Paramount’s verified Twitter account.
The Paramount reboot co-stars Emilia Clarke and Jason Clarke as Sarah and John Connor. Jai Courtney, Doctor Who alum Matt Smith, Lee Byung-hun and J.K. Simmons are also in the Terminator: Genisys cast. The film is being directed by Alan Taylor from a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier.
David Ellison's Skydance production company is co-producing the film with Paramount. His sister Megan Ellison is also executive producing the reboot, which is set to hit theaters on July 1, 2015.
