PHOTOS: 'The Avengers' Poster Art Teases Marvel's Superhero Epic

Ten new photos for The Avengers have hit the web, showing many stars of the superhero ensemble pic looking pensive about their world-saving duties.

Iron Man/Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Bruce Banner/Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) are featured in the new photos.

Additionally, Thor’s brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), is seen kneeling in one of the new photos.

Already, plenty of posters, photos, and trailers have been released for the Joss Whedon-directed film, which will premiere in the U.S. on May 4. The latest trailer was released on February 29, showing some squabbles between some of the superheroes as they ban together to save the world from all sorts of evil. The trailerwent on to take in a record number of iTunes downloads (more than 12.5 million).
