Benedict Cumberbatch's 'Doctor Strange' Casting Sets Twitter Ablaze

It's another day, another franchise for the fanboy favorite

Love it or hate it, everyone seems to have an opinion about Benedict Cumberbatch joining Marvel's Doctor Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme.

Let's start with the jokes (there are plenty).

The geek-friendly casting had many fans foaming at the mouth with excitement. Veteran comic book writer J.M. DeMatteis called it perfect casting, while others defended the actor against Cumberhaters.

But not everyone was happy. Noted Star Trek fan (and vocal Star Trek Into Darkness critic) Jordan Hoffman had this to say:

But he finally conceded Cumberbatch would be OK.

Others wondered if taking on another franchise was the right move for Cumberbatch.
