'Twilight: Breaking Dawn's' Kristen Stewart Suited Up in New 'Snow White and the Huntsman' Photo

The 'Twilight' star dons armor and rides a horse in the image from the Universal film.

When the first photos from Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman were released during Comic-Con, it became very clear that Kristen Stewart would not be playing a gentle damsel in distress.

Now, new photos from set further cement the Breaking Dawn star’s role as a very different type of Snow White.

Stewart is seen clad in armor, and riding a horse in the images, which were from the film set in Wales. Thor star Chris Hemsworth, who plays the huntsman, also sits atop a horse in the image.

The Universal project also stars Charlize Theron as the dagger-wielding Evil Queen, and Sam Claflin as a prince. Directed by Rupert Sanders, the film is slated for a June 2012 release.

Stewart’s tough-girl look continues to distance her and the Universal film from the other Snow White film in the works – Relativity’s softer untitled film starring Lily Collins.
