Comic-Con 2011: Pee-wee Herman Will Make an Appearance in Hall H

Pee-wee Herman is coming to Comic-Con.

The character, embodied by actor Paul Reubens, will hit Hall H Thursday, July 21 for a solo panel starting 1:15 p.m.

Herman/Reubens will be there in support of The Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway, which comes to DVD in October from Image Entertainment. The HBO production garnered an Emmy nomination last week.

The show opened to acclaim in New York’s Stephen Sondheim Theatre November 11, 2010. The show was based on The Pee-wee Herman Show and the Saturday morning TV show Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, the latter which celebrates its 25th anniversary this fall.
