They've dealt with riot grrl mermaids, bearwomen and out of control dinosaurs, but this summer, the girls from Miss Quinzella Thiskwin Penniquiqal Thistle Crumpet's Camp for Hardcore Lady-Types will face their biggest challenge yet when BOOM! Studios' Lumberjanes crosses over with DC Entertainment's Gotham Academy.

The six-issue series pairs the Eisner Award-winning all-ages series about a group of girls at summer camp who solve supernatural mysteries in between regular camp activities with DC's critically acclaimed Batman spinoff, which follows the adventures of students at the most prestigious prep school in Batman's hometown — a school that, fittingly, also has its own supernatural (and supervillain-filled) secrets.

Boom!'s Lumberjanes is in currently in development as a movie at 20th Century Fox, with Kira Goldberg and Ryan Jones overseeing the project for the studio alongside BOOM!'s Ross Richie and Stephen Christy. DC's Gotham Academy, meanwhile, is wrapping up its current run ahead of a relaunch as part of the company's Rebirth program this fall. The second collection of the series, Gotham Academy: Calamity, will be released in comic stores on March 16.

Lumberjanes/Gotham Academy, the first collaboration between BOOM! Studios and DC Entertainment (and first inter-company crossover to be published by BOOM!), will be written by Chynna Clugston-Flores, with art by Rosemary Valero-O'Connell, and will launch in June.
