Universal Pictures released the new trailer for Despicable Me 2, featuring everybody’s favorite yellow minions humming offbeat to the tune of The Beach Boys' “Barbara Anne.”

What could be better than more minions? More minions in 3-D CGI of course!

Although super villian Gru (Steve Carell) failed to steal the moon in the 2010 hit Despicable Me, he did manage to steal the hearts of viewers when he discovers a softer side of himself and adopts three orphan girls who show up in his life. It’s success led to the film grossing more than $251 million in the U.S. alone.

Audiences who couldn’t get enough of the grouchy but lovable protaganist and his doe-eyed girls can look forward to more of their hilarious antics in his lair that gives the bat cave a run for it’s money.

The film debuts next year on July 3, 2013, so fans will have to stick to polishing their shrink rays and 3-D glasses in anticipation until then.
