'Django Unchained': Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx Face Off in New Photos
The first footage from Quentin Tarantino's revenge western debuted at the Cannes Film Festival.
After the first footage from Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained was revealed in Cannes last week, new photos have made their way onto the web on Tuesday.
The new images feature freed slave Django (Jamie Foxx) meeting plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). The film follows Django as he attempts to free his wife (Kerry Washington) from Candie’s plantation. The highly anticipated film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz and Don Johnson.
The other photos include an image of Waltz’s dentist-turned-bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz shooting a gun, and also riding a horse across the snowy ground.
The first footage from the revenge western, which the Weinstein Company will release Dec. 25, debuted during the Cannes Film Festival last week. The film, on which TWC is partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment, is still shooting, and Harvey Weinstein hinted that there still could be some surprise additions to the cast.
