He is one of the world's greatest scientists, explorers and detectives, but can the Man of Bronze solve the mystery of Amelia Earhart's disappearance? Dynamite Entertainment's Doc Savage: The Ring of Fire suggests the answer is yes, and Heat Vision has an exclusive look at artwork from the upcoming comic book series.

Ring of Fire is the latest series from Dynamite starring Condé Nast's iconic hero, created by Lester Dent in 1933. Reuniting The Twilight Zone/The Shadow creators David Avallone and Dave Acosta, the four-issue series, set in 1938, sees Doc deal with the threat of the Silver Death's Heads, while volcanoes keep erupting around U.S. Navy bases. What could the newly vanished Earhart have to do with all of this…?

Avallone and Acosta are keeping quiet about that for now, but the exclusive preview of Acosta's line work for the first issue reveals that Doc and Amelia meet up at some point, having to come to terms with a particularly hot situation.

"This year's Twilight Zone/The Shadow miniseries was a lot of fun, and really showed what this team could do with pulp heroes and their rich history," Dynamite CEO and publisher Nick Barrucci said in a statement in support of the new series. "We knew that we had to get David and Dave back together on a project as quickly as we could, and with all the buzz around Doc Savage right now, this seemed the perfect way to go!"

Doc Savage: The Ring of Fire launches in March.
