Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is almost here.

The Guillermo del Toro-produced scary movie had a heck of road getting here - it was made by Miramax and got lost in the Disney division's shuttering before finally getting picked up by fledgling upstart FilmDistrict - and will hit theatres on August 26.

(Some lucky devils may be able to see it almost two months early if they catch the June 26 premiere as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival.)

As Memorial Day Weekend hit, this trailer, which just could be the scariest trailer of the year, clawed its way out.
