'RocknRolla' Actor Joining Fox Searchlight's 'The East'
Toby Kebbell is in negotiations to join Brit Marling's indie thriller.

Toby Kebbell is in negotiations to join the cast of The East, the indie thriller co-written and starring Brit Marling. Marling’s The Sound of My Voice collaborator Zal Batmanglij, co-write the script and is directing.
The movie centers on a female agent (Marling) from private security firm that protect corporations who infiltrates a terrorist organization known as the East.
On top of Marling, the cast so far includes True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard as the group’s leader and Ellen Page as a member of the organization.
Kebbell will play a doctor who was treated with a tainted drug that caused him to have Parkinson’s-like symptoms.
Kebbell, a British actor, was one of the breakouts from Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla who has gone on to appear in Hollywood movies such as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. He will appear in Steven Spielberg’s War Horse and recently wrapped Clash of the Titans 2, both of which shot in the UK.
He is repped by CAA and Independent Talent Group.
