Fox Developing Female-Fronted Found Footage Movie (Exclusive)
John Davis is producing the film, written by Lindsay Devlin and to be helmed by directing duo Radio Silence.
Fox has picked up an untitled found footage project written by Lindsay Devlin with directing team Radio Silence on board to helm.
John Davis is producing via his Fox-based Davis Entertainment banner.
The logline is being kept secret to protect the idea from falling into the wrong hands, but it is described as being female-driven and having horror elements.
STORY: Black List Honors Announced
Davis dipped into his discretionary fund to acquire the project as a pitch back in the spring. Devlin then wrote the script, attracting the directing team which is comprised of Tyler Gillett, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Chad Villella and Justin Martinez.
The quartet wrote and directed the final segment on the indie horror anthology V/H/S. They gained a following for making interactive shorts with sci-fi, horror and comedy themes when the group was earlier known as Chad, Matt and Rob. (The Alien Roommate Prank Goes Bad short has more than 30 million views on YouTube.)
Radio Silence, repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment, is also attached to direct Reawakenings, a low-budget horror movie for producer Jason Blum set up at Lionsgate.
