The DreamWorks-Disney robot boxing drama opens October 7.
The robots of Real Steel invaded Los Angeles for the premiere of the DreamWorks production for Disney on Sunday, October 2. But it was the stars, Hugh Jackman and Evangeline Lilly who had the crowds screaming on the hot Los Angeles afternoon.
Jackman stars as Charlie, an out-of-work former boxer who sets out to take on the world of robot boxing. Together with his son, he trains a boxing bot, hoping to make a champion. Lilly plays Charlie’s former girlfriend.
The premiere event featured a display of giant robots from the film, and a wide variety of guests came out to watch the film. These included 50 Cent (who has a track on the soundtrack), Modern Family’s Rico Rodriguez, Friday Night Lights’ Michael B. Jordan, Twilight's Nikki Reed and Chord Overstreet, who most recently starred on Glee.
