'Hunger Games' Stars Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth Embark on National Mall Tour to Meet Fans

Just when you thought it was safe to go shopping without being mobbed by screaming teenagers, Lionsgate announced Tuesday that members of the cast and crew of The Hunger Games are embarking on a national mall tour. Starting on March 3, several of the actors, including Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will make appearances during an eight-city tour, sponsored by the Microsoft Store, China Glaze, and h2O Spring Water.

As the Twilight film series enters the home stretch for the foreseeable future with its final installment, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, arriving November 16, The Hunger Games has quickly taken its place as the next monster franchise for teenage girls to obsess about. The tour should only intensify that interest, as fans will enjoy the opportunity to meet members of the cast, participate in Q&As and enter giveaways to win Hunger Games paraphernalia.

The announcement of the mall tour precedes the first day fans can buy pre-sale tickets for The Hunger Games, which opens on March 23, 2012.
