'Hunger Games' Meets Britney Spears in Web Parody (VIDEO)
3:12 PM PDT 6/19/2011 by Jane Kellogg
YouTube-video director WinterSpringPro takes a funny approach to explaining the love story between Katniss and Peeta in Suzanne Collins' trilogy.
In the video below, Joey Graceffa of YouTube's WinterSpringPro teamed up with fellow YouTube sensation (and aspiring musician) Luke Conard to create the newest Hunger Games parody to hit the web: this time in the style of Britney Spears' new single, "I Wanna Go."
In the parody, Hunger Games characters Gale and Peeta come to life as they compete for the heart of Katniss--only in this story, they attempt to win her over with pie, cake and a dead squirrel.
Graceffa tells examiner.com that the collaboration took about a week to produce: "The creation of the song took about three days, shooting took one day, and editing took three days."
