New Posters for 'Hunger Games' Sequel 'Catching Fire' Promote Victory Tour
The second installment in the Lionsgate franchise will follow the protagonists on their Victory Tour.
Two new posters for Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games, have hit the web, emphasizing the epic Victory Tour that Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) are tasked with going on after their win in the deadly Games.
The images show the District 12 victors dressed in all white, and staring off into the distance. The sequel to 2012's mega-hit will follow the protagonists as they have to travel across all 12 Districts of Panem, meeting their adoring public and keeping up their facade of star-crossed lovers. All the while, Katniss is forced to hide her ever-growing suspicions of President Snow (Donald Sutherland), who is preparing for the 75th Annual Hunger Games, also known as the Quarter Quell.
In between shooting the first and second film installment in the Hunger Games franchise, Lawrence has found critical success playing a mentally unstable widow in Silver Linings Playbook, a roll that has earned her a Golden Globe and SAG Award, as well as an Oscar nom.
Francis Lawrence is set to direct the second installment of Suzanne Collins' best-selling young adult book series, taking over for Hunger Games director Gary Ross.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters November 22 and also stars Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
