A mysterious image on Facebook promises death and the rebirth of 20th Century Fox's 'Predator' franchise, inviting fans to 'Hunt the Predator'.

The hunt is back on.

The Facebook page for Predators, Robert Rodriguez' 2010 reboot for the 20th Century Fox's alien hunter franchise offered a mysterious new image this weekend suggesting that something interesting related to the franchise may be announced at Comic-Con this week.

Over a thermal image of a section of San Diego, the image reads "There's something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man… We're all gonna die." That line, of course, is a quote from the original 1987 Predator movie, spoken by Sonny Landham's Billy, and it's accompanied on the image by the hashtag #HuntthePredator.

It's worth noting that 20th Century Fox's has promised "a huge surprise" for its San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday, which is still showing up as "TBA" in terms of details on the official Comic-Con schedule.

Should we be expecting confirmation of the teased Predator remake, news of a new movie or something else altogether? Only one thing is for sure: There's less than a week until we'll find out.
