Jon Bernthal, the actor who broke out with The Walking Dead, has joined the cast of Baby Driver, Edgar Wright’s crime thriller for TriStar, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The movie began shooting last week in Atlanta.

Baby Driver stars Ansel Elgort as a getaway driver, a near mute with an ear condition who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game.

Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Jaime Foxx, Lily James and Eiza Gonzalez are also on the roll call for the tale of what happens when the driver is coerced into working for a crime boss and must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.

Working Title and Nira Park are producing.

Bernthal, who appeared in some key scenes in last year's Sicario, next co-stars as Marvel antihero The Punisher in season two of Netflix’s Daredevil.
