Lindy Booth in Talks for New Hero Role in 'Kick-Ass 2' (Exclusive)
Booth, as the Night Bitch, would join a cast that includes returning stars Aaron Johnson and Chloe Moretz, plus newcomers Donald Faison and John Leguizamo.
Lindy Booth is in talks to play Night Bitch in Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall.
Jeff Wadlow is directing the sequel, which is being produced and financed by Matthew Vaughn’s MARV Films. Universal will distribute domestically.
Aaron Johnson and Chloe Moretz are reprising their respective roles of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl. Christopher Mintz-Plasse will return as the villainous Red Mist. Newcomers to the cast include Donald Faison and John Leguizamo.
Night Bitch is one of the new heroes -- none of which has any actual powers -- inspired by antics of Kick-Ass and joins a team called Justice Forever. They quickly get in over their heads when an organized crime group they're antagonizing wants payback.
The movie is will start shooting in September in Toronto. It also will shoot in New York.
The production reached out to Jim Carrey for a cameo, but sources say the chances are slim that the actor will take on the role of The Colonel.
Booth had gigs on the NBC show The Philanthropist, which starred James Purefoy, as well as the ABC show October Road. Feature-wise, she appeared in Dawn of the Dead, Wrong Turn and Cry Wolf, a thriller directed by Wadlow.
She is repped by Innovative Artists and Thruline Entertainment.
