Maggie Q, Zoe Kravitz and Ansel Elgort Join 'Divergent' (Exclusive)
Shailene Woodley is attached to star in the adaptation of Veronica Roth’s YA novel being directed by Neil Burger.
Maggie Q, Zoe Kravitz and Ansel Elgort have closed deals to join the cast of Divergent, Summit/Lionsgate’s adaptation of Veronica Roth’s YA novel.
Shailene Woodley is attached to star in the movie set in a future society that is divided into factions based on human traits. Neil Burger (Limitless) is directing.
Q will play Tori, a tattooed owner of a tattoo parlor who is part of the choosing ceremony that divides people into factions. She ends up helping Woodley’s character, Tris.

Kravitz will play Christina, a member of the Dauntless faction, which embodies bravery, and who becomes friends with Tris.
Elgort has nabbed the highly sought-after role of Caleb, Woodley’s brother who turns his back on his family, part of the Abnegation clan, to be part of the Erudite clan.
Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher are producing, as is Pouya Shahbazian. The production is hoping to planning on shooting in Chicago this spring.

Q stars as the title character on The CW’s action drama Nikita. Movie-wise, she most recently appeared in 2011’s vampire actioner Priest. She is repped by CAA, Untitled and Broder Law Group.
Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny Kravitz, appears in Lionsgate’s other YA franchise, The Hunger Games. The actress appeared in X-Men: First Class and has After Earth -- directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Will and Jaden Smith, in the can. She is repped by Paradigm, Untitled and Edelstein, Laird.
Elgort has only one credit under his belt, MGM’s upcoming remake of Carrie, but insiders already are pegging the son of fashion photographer Arthur Elgort as one to watch. He is repped by CAA and Brookside Artists Management.
