It is official, Luke Skywalker is an appropriate height to masquerade as a Stormtrooper.

On Thursday, Mark Hamill had some fun with retro Star Wars toys, posting measurements of an old Luke Skywalker and Stormtrooper figure to refute Princess Leia's joke that the farm boy turned Jedi Knight was "a little short" to be a Stormtrooper.

"Not to beat a dead Tauntaun, but here's irrefutable PROOF I'm TALLER than a Stormtrooper! Now let's never speak of it again ('til next time)," Hamill tweeted to his nearly 2 million followers.

The Luke Skywalker figure from A New Hope measured 3.831 centimeters and the Stormtrooper measured 3.8021 centimeters. The meme was created by Jason Clark in May 2015.

The classic joke comes from A New Hope when Luke, disguised as a Stormtrooper, busts into Leia's detention cell aboard the Death Star. The princess (Carrie Fisher) takes one look at the youth and says, "Aren't you a little short to be a Stormtrooper?"

Hamill is once again playing Skywalker in the highly anticipated installment The Last Jedi, due out Dec. 15.
