Mark Hamill Slams Mitt Romney; Compares President Obama to Obi-Wan Kenobi (Video)
The "Star Wars" icon said he could not “believe a word" the Republican candidate says.
Mark Hamill has some harsh words for presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Appearing on Current TV’s The Young Turks, the Star Wars star said he could not “believe a word" Romney says after last week's presidential debate.
Hamill said he debated in high school, and was surprised the same rules of accuracy did not apply to presidential debates.

“If you told things that weren't true or just made things out of whole cloth, you were penalized,” Hamill said of his high school debate experiences. “It's too bad they don't apply the same standards to presidential candidates as they do to high school students.”
During the summer at Comic-Con, Hamill said “Mitt Romney is not actually human," and after last week’s debate, Hamill took to Twitter to call the Republican candidate a "snake-oil salesman."
I've never seen a candidate for President lie more than Romney. He lies effortlessly, shamelessly. This snake oil salesman must be defeated!!!

On a lighter note, Young Turks host Cenk Uygur asked Hamill to choose which Star Wars characters U.S. politicians would be. When asked to pick for former Vice President Dick Cheney, Hamill balked at what Uygur said was the obvious choice: Darth Vader.
“I don’t think it’s fair to compare Dick Cheney to Vader — it’s unfair to Vader,” Hamill said.

His reasoning? Vader eventually saw the error of his ways and redeemed himself.
As for Hamill's pick for Obama?
"Well he's very wise. He's got sort of a cross between Obi-Wan and Yoda," Hamill said. “I so revere him, I'm going to have to go with the Sir Alec Guinness character, Obi-Wan."
