The Marvel Experience Tour's First Dates and Cities Revealed
The Marvel Experience tour has set its first cities and dates.
The interactive tour from Hero Ventures announced the first four tour stops on Thursday during New York Comic-Con.
The traveling Marvel Experience will have a preview in Phoenix from Dec. 12 through Jan. 3, 2015. The official premiere will take place in Dallas on Jan. 9. Other legs of the tour will include stops in San Diego and San Francisco, before heading toward the East Coast. The Marvel Experience will remain in each city for about three weeks. Additional tour stops will be announced at a later date.
The Marvel Experience will cover more than 80,000 sq. ft., enclosed by a custom-made dome complex, which is being touted as the "first time a venue of this type, size and scope will be utilized for a mobile tour."
The dome's exterior was designed to look like a S.H.I.E.L.D. installation, or a Mobile Command Center, and is six-stories high at its apex. Attractions will include a 4D motion ride serving as its centerpiece, interactive games and original animated short films.
"While Marvel has proven to be one of the best loved and most reliable entertainment brands, never before have Marvel's fans and people of all ages been able to be a part of the show," said Michael Cohl, an executive producer of The Marvel Experience and promoter.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale starting Friday via Ticketmaster.
