Matt Damon Makes James Corden Play His 'Jason Bourne' Stunt Double on 'Late Late Show'

"If you know there's a crash pad there, then I know there's a crash pad there, and that means the audience knows that you know that I know that you know there's a crash pad there, and it's all just kind of ruined."

There's acting with Matt Damon, and then there's acting as Matt Damon.

The Jason Bourne star delivered laughs in a Late Late Show bit that saw James Corden excited to act opposite the Damon, only to learn that he'd actually be in for a rough day as his stunt double.

Corden then spent his scenes taking a punch, getting hit by a train and jumping off a rooftop — with no safe landing in sight. "The action is gritty and real — we don't use crash pads," explained Damon. "If you know there's a crash pad there, then I know there's a crash pad there, and that means the audience knows that you know that I know that you know there's a crash pad there, and it's all just kind of ruined."

After the fall, Damon confessed, "I don't think we're gonna end up using that shot but he was really good."

Thankfully, Damon later sat sedentary on the Late Late Show couch to chat more about the action of the movie.
