New Set Footage Reveals 'Batman v Superman's' Bruce Wayne (Video)
Fan-shot video and photos from the Detroit set of the 2016 super hero movie reveals an older-looking Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight's alter ego.
We already know what Ben Affleck looks like as Batman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but thanks to an intrepid fan on the set of the movie’s Detroit shoot, now you can see what he looks like as Bruce Wayne, as well.
The photos—edited into a video slideshow—come from fan Samuel Otten (via ComicBookMovie.com), and show Affleck with what appears to be some greying at the temples, presumably to underscore the take that this Batman is an older, more grizzled version of the character than the one cinema audiences are used to.
The video also includes footage of the crew of the movie prepping for shots on the street, with Affleck standing in front of a bus bearing the legend “Metropolis City Bus,” suggesting that the scene being shot may involve Wayne investigating the wreckage of “Wayne Financial” as seen in yesterday’s set footage. Could it be that the destruction of one of his Metropolis business is what brings Wayne — and Batman — to the city and into conflict with Superman in the first place?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder and featuring Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, will be released May 2016. Watch the video below.
