New 'X-Men' Videos Reveal New Details About 'Days of Future Past'
With the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past just over a month away, three more videos promoting the movie have appeared online to give some more information on what happens in the movie, and how high the stakes are for mutantkind.
The three videos, part of a cross-promotional campaign called “Take Control of Your Future” with Norton by Symantec, feature Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page and other actors from the movie explaining what happens to set up Days of Future Past.
Intercut with footage from the movie’s trailers to date, Jackman confirms that Kitty Pryde is the character who sends Wolverine’s mind back in time to change the timeline, while Peter Dinklage, who plays Sentinel creator Bolivar Trask, describes his character’s motivation as trying to “bring nations of the world together against a common enemy.”
The cross-promotional aspect of the video focuses on the ability to take control of your security which, considering the alternative — that the robotic defense created to protect humanity eventually turns upon its masters and enslaves them — is a smart choice for the anti-virus provider. Watch all three of the videos below; X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released in theaters May 23.
