Nintendo Releasing Miniature NES System With 30 Built-In Classics

The Nintendo company on Thursday announced it would be releasing a miniature version of its groundbreaking Nintendo Entertainment System, which will come with 30 built-in games, including the Super Mario Bros. trilogy. 

The new system, the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition, will hit stores on Nov. 11, according to the company

The original 8-bit game console was released in North America in 1985, revolutionizing the gaming industry.

The new, modern system, will include an HDMI cable, an AC adapter and single controller.

Some of the titles included, besides Mario Bros., are The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, PAC-MAN, and Kirby’s Adventure.

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place,” Reggie Fils-Aimes, Nintendo of America president and COO said in a statement. 

The system will retail for $59.99, according to the company.
