NY Comic Con: Lego Unveils New Superhero Sets
The toy company has already announced a line of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" toys and new sets for "The Hobbit."
LEGO is prepping for a big 2013 and has been making waves every day at New York Comic Con.
Thursday it announced a partnership with Nickelodeon to create a line of construction toys based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, based on the channel’s recently launched Turtles show.

Friday it unveiled two new sets for The Hobbit, part of the line which the company hopes is a big hit when it hits stores timed to the arrival the Peter Jackson’s first installment of the movie franchise.
Today it’s revealing the expansion of its superhero line with new toys set to debut January 2013. On deck is one set a piece from Marvel and DC.
The DC toy is based on The Dark Knight Rises movie, is titled The Bat vs Bane: Tumbler Chase, and will retail for $39.99.

The Marvel one is more interesting. Spider-Man: Daily Bugle Showdown, to sell for $49.99, isn’t based on the new Sony movie, but may be a sly set up for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
The set not only features Spider-Man, Jonah Jameson and villains Beetle and Doctor Doom, but also Nova.
Nova is a lower-tiered character, not well-known beyond the comic world and is a sometime member of the Guardians. Next year, the character is getting a big push in the comics and animated series that will up his profile. It’s unclear, though, if he will be in the Marvel movie.
