Paramount Home Media Distribution has picked up worldwide distribution rights to horror comedy Ghost Team One.

The movie centers on two roommate who fall for a girl who believes their home is haunted by a vengeful madam. The duo set out to make a documentary, uncovering not only a decades-ago murder but also a ghost that is into them.

Ben Peyser and Scott Rutherford directed the movie, which stars Carlos Santos (host of MTV Tr3s’ Mi TRL), J.R. Villarreal (Akeelah and the Bee), Tony Cavalero (Son of a Pitch) and Fernanda Romero (RPM Miami).

It was produced by Flying Monkeys Entertainment and Foresight Entertainment and premiered at this year’s Slamdance Film Festival. Hernany Perla and Adam Mutchler produced the movie.

A theatrical release is not being ruled out.

This deal was brokered by Chris Sablan of Original Artists and Nate Bolotin and Aram Tertzakian of XYZ Films.
