It's not Paul Reubens but Jimmy Fallon doing the talking in this hilarious spin on Christopher Nolan's deathly serious trailer.

"I'm Batman." "I know you are but what am I?"

Leave it to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to conceive of a marriage between the dark fantasy world of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises and the candy-colored silliness of Pee-wee's Playhouse. The results -- as evidenced by the trailer below, in which all dialogue is dubbed over by Pee-wee Herman (actually an amazingly accurate impression by Fallon himself, and not the real Pee-wee, Paul Reubens, a rep for the show has confirmed) -- are positively inspired.

And while the exchange above never quite materializes, there's plenty more to giggle at in the bit -- which amazingly was turned around in just a few hours, based on the suggestion of a Late Night audience member.
