Pixar's 'Inside Out' Promotes Marvel's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' — Or Is It Vice Versa? (Video)

Disney's synergistic cross-promotional efforts combine two eagerly anticipated 2015 releases.

They're a team of colorful characters who work together for the good of humanity — they're not, as you might expect, Marvel's Avengers, but instead the emotional personifications from Pixar's upcoming Inside Out. But what would happen if the two Disney properties were to team up?

Pixar released a new video Tuesday afternoon answering that very question, as Inside Out's emotions watched the first trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron while we watched them, Mystery Science Theater 3000-style.

The takeaway? Apparently, the Marvel movie is an emotional roller coaster that elicits such responses as: "This'll be good!" "This is the greatest speech ever!" "That's what I'm talking about!" and, of course, cheering when the Marvel logo appears onscreen.

It's far from the first time Disney has used another property to push Joss Whedon's second Avengers movie — the main cast played Family Feud during an appearance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this month and also appeared on the network's Good Morning America — but it might be the most surprising promotional tactic.

Of course, what we're really waiting for is the Inside Out reaction to Disney's other massive 2015 release, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Or, even better, the Avengers watching the Star Wars trailer.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released on May 1, Inside Out on June 19. Watch the video below.
