Report: Warners' URL Registrations Hint at 'Man of Steel 2' Titles
Warner Bros. has reportedly registered multiple web domains for 2015's follow-up to "Man of Steel," hinting at possible titles for the movie.
Perhaps Batman vs. Superman isn't the right title for the 2015 follow-up to Man of Steel that (re-) introduces DC Entertainment's Dark Knight into Superman's cinematic universe. The title of the sequel has yet to be officially announced after all, and as one website has noticed, Warners has seemingly registered URLs for a whole handful of alternative titles.
Fusible reported that Warners has apparently registered multiple web domains through Internet brand protection company MarkMonitor for numerous possible titles -- and, most likely, tag lines -- for the Superman/Batman mash-up movie, including Man of Steel: Battle the Knight, Man of Steel: Darkness Falls and Man of Steel: Shadow of the Night. (Yes, that last one is intentionally missing the "k," so we can assume it's the "opposite of day" sense of the word.) A full list of domains registered is below.
Missing from the list is the most obvious suggestion for an alternate title: World's Finest, which was the title of the comic series the two characters shared for decades. Of course, that title suggests a more harmonious, less likely to result in a fight -type relationship -- which may be the very opposite of what Warners hopes to promote about the movie. I wonder if www.manofsteelhitsthebatman.com is still available … ?
